Kairos residents joined a team from the Young Vic theatre at Linden Grove last Tuesday for an energetic and enjoyable taster session for this summer’s community theatre production which will culminate in a performance at the Young Vic in July.

Part of the theatre’s Two Boroughs community project centred in Lambeth and Southwark, the show will be put on by volunteers from Kairos Community Trust, St Mungo’s, Thames Reach and Foundation 66. The final play will take the form of an episodic journey and each group will devise and rehearse their own material with the Young Vic staff, coming together in the last weeks for joint rehearsals at the theatre.

Weekly rehearsals at Kairos will be at Linden Grove on Tuesday mornings, from 10 to 12, starting on 22 April.

Come and be part of something big – on stage, behind the scenes, making music, telling a story – all Kairos is welcome. If this first session was anything to go by, it will be an amazing adventure for everyone involved.
