Thank you, Eileen McLaughlin

After 15 years working for the Holy Ghost Fathers who were based at the Kairos move-on house at Limesdale Gardens in Burnt Oak, Eileen McLaughlin has retired, reports Matt Dear.

I started to work at Limesdale Gardens as a Kairos support worker in September 2008 and soon built up a great relationship with Eileen who was a wonderful source encouragement and help for me. I’d often be knocking on her door for various reasons, be it printing or maintenance issues. Eileen always had time for a chat and was always ready to engage with our Kairos residents – she is a very kind and caring person.

On Tuesday, 1 April, we celebrated Eileen’s retirement at Limesdale Gardens with a lovely meal prepared by Hester; it was a great day and a happy atmosphere with current Kairos residents in attendance and also Kairos co-founder Father John Kitchen and director Mossie Lyons.

I wish Eileen all the best for the future and a very happy retirement.
