BRIDGES TO RECOVERY WALK
The Kairos Community Trust sponsored walk took place on Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May 2011. The day was a great success and it was wonderful to see so many people supporting Kairos.
Trustees, staff, clients, family and friends all pitched together and starting from Salesian College in Battersea the walk followed the Thames passing 12 London Bridges and covering approximately 12 kilometres before finishing at Tower Hill.
The end result is over £10,000 raised to support Kairos’ work providing a pathway to recovery from drugs and alcohol abuse. The on-going result was the promotion of the spirit of recovery and friendship that Kairos encourage.
Fingers crossed for a similar event next year – so watch this space.
